He looked over at her and nodded as they made their final preparations. “You think you can do it, Keiko? I believe you can,” he says, smiling warmly at her.

Keiko nodded at her trainer, her best friend. “I think I can. He seems easy to me, but things aren’t always what they seem to be. Except you. You seemed nice, and it turns out you are.”

He smiles at her compliment, then faces towards the waterfront. He felt completely ready for this. He he places an arm around her shoulder, leading her to the lake as he begins leisurely walking towards the waterfront of the Lake, awaiting for the legendary Red Gyarados to appear.

As they wait for the red beast, Keiko’s hands become sweaty. She stared into the lake, patiently waiting and thinking of the battle strategy she would use against the creature. He has an advantage, however, being able to know ice moves. She would have to hit him hard and hit him quick, but that shouldn’t be a problem with her Eon genes.

He clenched his fists as the red giant arose out of the lake. It gave out its loud and mighty roar, trying to intimidate him and Keiko. He glances over at Keiko. “You ready, Keiko?”

In response to his question, she ran and jumped into the lake. When she arose again, she had transformed into her dragonair form. She let out her battle cry and glared at the red Gyarados. “You will be defeated,” she said to him through the cry.

He nods. “Alright, Keiko, start off with an Ice Beam attack!” He shouts out, a slight smirk on his face.

With a leap, Keiko sprang out of the water and opened her mouth, charging the ice beam. She then hurled her body forward and launched it straight into the Gyarados’ mouth. She splashed back into the water and hid just below the surface, watching the creature and getting ready for it’s attack.

The Gyarados falls back a bit, giving out a roar of anger. It then looks around the surface, then finds Keiko. It then roars out and smacks down its jaws on her as it swoops its head down into the water where she is, then throws her to the side. “KEIKO!” He shouts out her name, half-worried for her, mostly encouraging her to get up and fight off the beast.

Keiko grit her teeth as she was hit hard. It took her a little while to get up, but she eventually did. Anger flashes through her eyes and it began to rain. She stared into the eyes of the red beast, not effected by its intimidating looks. The thunder was heard in the distance and Keiko flew up out of the water and into the clouds, waiting for the right moment.

He clenched his teeth as he looked up and around, waiting for lighting to spark. He then remembered that Keiko had known the move Thunder. As the red beast was still confused as to where Keiko was again, Lance shouted out to the heavens for her. “Keiko, use Thunder, NOW!” He shouts out, knowing that the zap will not only hurt the Red Gyarados, but also electrify the entire lake, giving the red beast nowhere to hide.

In an instant, Keiko commanded a lightning bolt to strike down. The light split through the clouds and air with a loud crack, striking the Gyarados critically. The water serpent cried out before sinking to the depths of the lake. Keiko waited for the beast, but he did not return, having fainted from such the powerful attack.
